Description

Rare 1903-S Dollar, MS62

1903-S $1 MS62 ANACS. The 1903-S is one of the rarest Morgan Dollars in Mint State (David Bowers, 2006). The lustrous surfaces of this MS62 example display wisps of golden-tan toning clinging to the obverse margins, which is replaced by more extensive and deeper golden-tan, lavender, and cobalt-blue around the reverse borders. Generally well struck, including the hair over Liberty's ear and the eagle's breast feathers. A few small obverse abrasions limit the grade.
