Description
1903-S Morgan Dollar, MS62
Elusive Issue in High Grade
1903-S $1 MS62 NGC. The 1903-S Morgan dollar claims a
smallish mintage of 1.2 million pieces, and most of the coins were
either heavily circulated or melted under the provisions of the
Pittman Act, making the issue scarce in high grade today. This
impressive MS62 example exhibits sharply detailed design elements
and the lustrous surfaces show the expected number of minor contact
marks for the grade.(Registry values: P7, N2998)From The Lester D. Taylor Collection.
