Description
1904 Silver Dollar, MS66+
Fully Toned, Well Preserved, CAC
Die Doubled Obverse
1904 $1 MS66+ PCGS. CAC. Ex: Illinois Set. This Plus-graded
and CAC endorsed 1904 dollar displays glowing steel-blue toning
that consumes the reverse and occupies peripheral portions of the
obverse. Peach-gold and autumn-brown colors adorn much of the
portrait. Cartwheel luster illuminates sharply struck and minimally
marked surfaces. Although the 1904 can be located with relative
ease in the MS63 to MS65 range, Plus-graded Premium Gems are
genuinely rare, and only one example has been certified numerically
finer by PCGS. The nose, chin, and lips are lightly die doubled, as
is the base of the earlobe. PCGS Population: 14 in 66+, 1 finer
(1/26). CAC: 11 in 66, 0 finer (1/26).Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2017), lot 5772; The Perfection Collection of Morgan Dollars / Central States Signature (Heritage, 4/2019), lot 4375. (Registry values: P5, N2998)
