1904-S $1 MS62 NGC. An estimated 2 million pieces or so of the original 2.304 million mintage have been melted (David Bowers, 2006). This MS62 example displays whispers of gold color at the margins. Luminous surfaces exhibit relatively well struck design elements and are lightly abraded.(Registry values: P7, N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 256W, PCGS# 7294, GSID# 7666)
