Description
Scarce 1904-S Gem Dollar
1904-S $1 MS65 PCGS. More than 2 million of the original 2.304 million-piece mintage was melted (David Bowers, 2006), making the 1904-S a scarce date. Splashes of light golden-tan gravitate to the obverse of this suitably struck Gem, and lustrous surfaces are minimally marked. PCGS has graded only 11 coins finer, and NGC six pieces higher (10/09).(Registry values: P7, N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 256W, PCGS# 7294, GSID# 7666)
