The Only Denver Mint Morgan

1921-D $1 MS67 ★ NGC. The Denver Mint produced their first coins in 1906, two years after the last Morgan dollars were minted. Once the Morgan dollar resumed temporarily in 1921, the Colorado facility had its first and only opportunity to coin examples of this iconic design. This Superb Gem is highly lustrous with intense iridescent toning on the obverse, and a crescent of iridescence on the otherwise brilliant and untoned reverse. Census: 12 in 67 (3 in 67 ), 1 finer (1/18).
