Description

1921-S Morgan Dollar, MS66+
Tied for Finest at PCGS

1921-S $1 MS66+ PCGS. CAC. The finest 1921-S Morgan dollars at PCGS are less than two dozen coins graded MS66+, and only a single higher-grade piece is reported at NGC (8/24). These top-tier Registry-grade coins rarely appear at auction, and when they do, they command strong bidder engagement. We recently handled such a coin -- an MS66+ PCGS CAC example -- in our 2024 FUN Signature, where it realized $15,600. The current coin is the technical equal of that piece, although this one boasts its own flavor of eye appeal rooted in pastel multicolor toning across each side. Frosty mint luster complements well-struck motifs, and there are no bothersome abrasions. Population: 22 in 66+, 0 finer. CAC: 10 in 66, 0 finer (7/24).(Registry values: P4, N4719)
