1878-CC Morgan Dollar, MS66+
Fully Frosted and Brilliant
1878-CC $1 MS66+ PCGS. CAC. VAM-9. The CC mintmark is tilted
right. Each side of this impeccable first-year Carson City Morgan
dollar is totally brilliant and thickly frosted. Exceptionally
clean surfaces certainly merit the added recognition from PCGS and
CAC in the form of a Plus designation and green approval sticker,
lacking any mentionable abrasions whatsoever on the cheek or in the
obverse fields. The hair over Liberty's ear and the eagle's breast
feathers exhibit full strike definition. This coin comes from the
Ponderosa Collection, which remains the #1 All-Time Finest PCGS
Carson City Morgan Dollars Registry Set, Circulation Strikes. The
PCGS Population Report lists six numerically higher
submissions for this important and sought-after Nevada mint issue
