Description
1881 Morgan Dollar, MS67
Totally Brilliant and Fully Struck
1881 $1 MS67 PCGS. The 1881 Morgan dollar claims a
substantial mintage of 9.1 million pieces, but few survivors can
match the quality and eye appeal of the present coin. This
delightful Superb Gem exhibits razor-sharp definition on all design
elements, while impeccably preserved surfaces radiate vibrant mint
luster throughout. The 1881 Philadelphia issue often sits in the
background behind the 1881-S, both in terms of mintage and
production quality. That makes this Superb Gem P-mint even more
impressive and considerably scarcer at the Superb Gem level. PCGS
reports just seven such pieces and none numerically finer,
including one in 67+ (3/20).(Registry values: P4, N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2546, PCGS# 7124, Greysheet# 7434)
