Description

1882-O Dollar, MS66+
Colorful Obverse Toning

1882-O $1 MS66+ PCGS. Widely available through the Gem grade level, the 1882-O dollar becomes scarce in MS66 and an elusive condition rarity any finer. This colorful example appears to have developed its iridescent patina while housed in a Treasury bag. On the obverse, blue and green borders progress to violet and peach-gold centers, while the somewhat dusky reverse exhibits a more mottled effect. Preservation is outstanding. Population: 79 in 66 (6 in 66+), 7 finer (7/18).(Registry values: P3, N2998)
