    1884-CC Dollar, MS67
VAM-7A, Key Variety for the Issue

1884-CC $1 MS67 PCGS. VAM-7A. The die gouge on the cheek, crack through the date, doubling on 18, and massive die break above ATES OF identify VAM-7A. Nearly 800,000 Uncirculated 1884-CC dollars were distributed during the General Services Administration's sales of the 1970s, making this a plentiful issue through MS66. Comparable examples are much more challenging, and they are practically impossible to upgrade. This Superb Gem is totally brilliant and nearly full struck. Softness is limited to the eagle's left (facing) talon. PCGS reports three finer submissions (3/19).(Registry values: P2, N2998) (NGC ID# 8BBF, PCGS# 7152)

Thanks to Heritage I realized a handsome profit for my coin submissions and intend to send most of the remainder of my collection to Heritage Auction Galleries for future auctions.
