    Description

    1885-S Dollar, MS66
    Just Two Coins Finer

1885-S $1 MS66 PCGS. In stark contrast to the preceding San Francisco Morgan dollar issue, the 1885-S is readily available through MS65 and only becomes challenging in MS66. Merely two coins are graded numerically finer, both of which are in PCGS holders (1/20). Lightly toned in gold and blue at the borders, this Premium Gem remains largely brilliant with cartwheel luster. Incompletely struck at the immediate centers but well-defined elsewhere.(Registry values: P5, N2998) (NGC ID# 254U, PCGS# 7164)

    Weight: 26.73 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
