1891-CC Dollar, MS67--One of the Finest Known Examples of This Scarce Issue

1891-CC $1 MS67 NGC. We have no record of an 1891-CC being offered for sale at public auction in MS67 in the past ten years, even though NGC and PCGS have each certified a single example (1/02). This scarce Carson City issue is seldom seen in Gem condition, much less above that level. The fields on this piece have a bright semi-prooflike finish and the surfaces are so clean overall that some might mistake this at first glance for a presentation piece. Lightly toned around the margins with light, almost brilliant interiors, this is one of the finest 1891-CC Dollars in existence and will surely be placed soon in one of the high grade sets of Dollars being assembled today. (NGC ID# 255H, PCGS# 7206)
