    Description

    1893-S Morgan Dollar, Fine 12
    Naturally Attractive Surfaces

1893-S $1 Fine 12 NGC. Survivorship of this rare San Francisco issue is skewed toward circulated examples, indicating at least a fair number of the 100,000 pieces produced made it into the hands of commerce in the West. The relatively few that survive, however -- plus the fact that few remain in Uncirculated state -- indicate that not all of the mintage survived the Pittman Act melting pots. This example is well-worn but smooth and unbothered. Decent rims remain. Attractive, silver-gray surfaces have a natural appeal with glimpses of reflectivity.
