    Extremely Rare Large Size $10, FNB of Fruita, Colorado

    First National Bank of Fruita, CO, Charter #8840. 1902 $20 Third Charter Plain Back, Fr-652, Fine-VF. A crisp, well preserved example with folds and other signs of circulation that are typical for the assigned grade. Only three large size notes from this bank, the only issuing bank in town, are listed in the census. Just $1,390 in all large size currency was outstanding when the bank was liquidated in February, 1935. A rare note that should inspire spirited bidding from collectors of this mountainous state.
