Description

Dutch Colony. United East India Company Ducaton 1738 XF Details (Chopmarked) NGC, Kampen mint, KM95.1, Scholten-60 (RRR). Plain edge. Overyssel issue. An attractive rendition of this popular colonial crown, the surfaces aged to a rich gunmetal with subtle russet hues beginning to develop within the outer registers, suggesting long-time storage in an old coin cabinet. Though designated as chopmarks on the holder, the two marks to the left of the rider appear to be graffiti (perhaps a 77) rather than actual chops.

XF Details (Chopmarked) NGC。
