Description

Newfoundland. Edward VII Specimen Cent 1904-H SP64 Red and Brown PCGS, Heaton mint, KM9. An exemplary representative of this very rare presentation issue, likely struck as a proof of record for the year. Undoubtedly of special quality, the surfaces possess uniform gleam, while the design rises to full prominence above the fields. Carefully stored though the decades, the surfaces retain much of their original pinkish-red color, with intermingled pastel hues of peach, violet and yellow tone over both sides. As the first example we've seen, and the finest of only two graded by PCGS, an important opportunity for the specialist collector.
