Description

Frederik III Speciedaler 1654-FG AU58 NGC, KM48var., Dav-3595, Ahlstrom-70. Exceptional quality for the issue, displaying an extremely bold portrait of Frederik III in the obverse centers and desirable light brownish tone throughout that emits attractive iridescent hues when viewed at an angle beneath a light. Closer inspection yields only trivial amounts of handling in the fields that defines the graded and a few instances of minor strike doubling, most notably at the legends. A very rare coin in any state, but especially desirable as fine as the present. Expect strong competition for this one!
