2.35 Ounce 'Pancake' Gold Nugget
From Coolgardie, Western Australia
2.35 Ounce "Pancake" Gold Nugget. This beautiful gold
specimen is a great example of the remarkable forms in which native
gold can be found, created entirely naturally. Almost completely
flat and almost completely square, it has an uncanny yet totally
natural appearance, further enhanced by the thicker sections at the
edges having been naturally tumbled to a gleaming luster, while the
majority of each face has a highly dimpled, crumpled-looking
texture. Natural apertures add to its appeal and the nugget
measures approximately 1 7/8 x 1¾ x 3/8 inches and weighs 2.35 troy
oz (73.2 g).
