MS63 Martha Washington 'Cent'
on a Dime Blank, Judd-2180 Dies
(1982) "1759" Martha Washington "Cent"--Struck on a Dime
Blank--MS63 NGC. 2.3 gm. Dies of Judd-2180, but struck with a
plain edge on a clad dime Type One planchet. Slightly uncentered
toward 3 o'clock, but the legends are virtually intact. The rim is
fully raised only on the reverse near 9 o'clock. The strike is a
bit soft on the major devices, but the cream-gray surfaces are
unblemished. Presumably struck circa-1982 when the cent alloy
changed to predominantly zinc.
