    Description

    '1759' Martha Washington Dollar, MS62
    Judd-2185, Struck Circa-1999

(1999) $1 Martha Washington Dollar, Judd-2185, Pollock-Unlisted, Low R.7, MS62 NGC. The 1759-dated obverse has a portrait of Martha Washington facing right, while the reverse shows a view of Mount Vernon. These dies, which omit a denomination and the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, have been used by the Mint to test coinage alloys since 1965. Struck with a plain edge in manganese-brass-coated copper-clad metal. The brassy color is similar to that of a Sacagawea dollar. A nicely struck green-gold specimen with good eye appeal and minimal handling marks.

    Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 511836)
