Description
'Nonsense' General Motors Pattern Cent
Pollock-4060, MS63 Red and Brown
(Circa 1967) General Motors Pattern Cent, Pollock-4060, R.5,
MS63 Red and Brown NGC. An experimental striking on the General
Motors roller press with the head of Liberty facing left on the
obverse, a wreath on the reverse, and nonsensical legends on each
side. Control code M-1. Struck in copper with a plain edge. The
lustrous orange-red surfaces have mellowed to steel-gray on the
portrait, with minor carbon on the right obverse field.
