    1851 Copper One Cent Pattern, Judd-130, PR66

1851 P1C Annular One Cent, Judd-130 Restrike, Pollock-154, High R.7, PR66 Red and Brown NGC. Struck on an unperforated planchet. The obverse has CENT above and ONE TENTH SILVER below, with a double ring inside. On the reverse a wreath of laurel surrounds the single ring, with the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the outside. Struck in copper with a plain edge. This pattern is encapsulated back-to-front in the NGC holder. There are no signs of contact, and much of the obverse and about one-third of the reverse still show muted mint red.
