Annular 1852 Gold Dollar Pattern in Silver, Judd-138, PR65

1852 PG$1 Gold Dollar, Judd-138 Thin, Pollock-165, Low R.7, PR65 NGC. Struck on a perforated annular planchet. The obverse has USA above and the date below. On the reverse the ring is surrounded by a circle of laurel. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Few signs of contact show on this darkly toned example, but heavy circular production marks show around the reverse, almost appearing to be an intentional part of the design.
