    1852 Ring Dollar in Gold, Judd-145, PR 65

    1852 Ring Dollar, Judd-145 Thin, Pollock-173, R.5, PR 65 PCGS. Simply designed with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the outer portion of the obverse with the date at the bottom. The reverse has DOLLAR at the top with a wreath around the lower margin. Struck in gold on a thin planchet (R.6 as such), perforated in the center, with a plain edge. Bright orange-gold color. Diagnostic die line above the second S in STATES. A lovely example of this rare and popular gold pattern.
