    Description

    1853 Nickel-Copper Pattern Cent
    Judd-151, PR64

1853 E1C One Cent, Judd-151, Pollock-178, Low R.6 PR64 PCGS. The obverse is the same as that used to coin regular issue 1853 quarter eagles. The reverse shows an uneven laurel wreath with the legends ONE and CENT widely separated. Struck in a nickel-copper alloy ( 40% nickel-60% copper) with a reeded edge. Approximately two dozen examples are believed extant in this composition. The high nickel content gives this piece its brightness. The fields are brightly reflective and the devices sharply detailed throughout.

When it came to selling my coin collection I decided they were my first and only choice. They never disappoint. Excellent prices when selling through their auctions and you don’t even have to put any reserves on any coins. Simply the biggest company but more importantly the best.
