Description

1853 One Cent, Judd-151, Pollock-178, R.5, PR 61 PCGS. Small cent pattern with the obverse design similar to the quarter eagle, the reverse has ONE CENT in the center, surrounded by a laurel wreath. Struck in either German silver or a nickel alloy with a reeded edge. Light gray patina over silvery-brilliant surfaces, with extensive signs of scuffiness in the fields from handling.
