1853 Cent Pattern, PR63
Judd-151, Copper-Nickel Alloy

1853 P1C One Cent, Judd-151, Pollock-178, Low R.6, PR63 PCGS. The obverse is the same as that used to coin regular issue 1853 quarter eagles. The reverse shows an uneven laurel wreath with the legends ONE and CENT widely separated. Struck in a nickel-copper alloy with a reeded edge. Autumn-gold toning drapes this crisply impressed and lightly hairlined pattern. The obverse is moderately strike doubled.
