    Description

    1853 Judd-151 Cent, PR64
    Liberty Quarter Eagle Obverse Design

1853 P1C One Cent, Judd-151, Pollock-178, Low R.6, PR64 PCGS. The obverse design is the issued 1853 quarter eagle, but the reverse shows the denomination ONE CENT within a laurel wreath. Struck with a reeded edge in an alloy of 60% copper and 40% nickel. A flashy and intricately struck near-Gem. A few light flecks of carbon are all that limit the grade of this lovely piece.
Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2004), lot 8379.

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 299K, PCGS# 11628)
