    Deeply Mirrored 1853 Pattern Cent, Judd-151

    1853 P1C One Cent, Judd-151, Pollock-178, Low R.6, PR66 PCGS. The obverse is the same as that used to coin regular issue 1853 quarter eagles. The reverse shows the denomination ONE CENT within a laurel wreath. Struck in a 40% nickel, 60% copper alloy with a reeded edge. Fully struck, the surfaces are bright and undimmed by the passage of 152 years. The fields are deeply mirrored and there are no mentionable pedigree identifiers on either side.(#11628)
