Description
Gem 1854 Large Cent Pattern, Judd-160
1854 P1C One Cent, Judd-160, Pollock-187, R.4, PR65 Brown NGC. The obverse is similar to that used on regular issue 1854 cents, except there are no stars. The denomination is centered on the reverse within a laurel wreath, and the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is around the periphery. Struck in copper or bronze with a plain edge. Fully struck throughout, the obverse fields are deeply reflective with less of a mirror-like finish on the reverse. The surfaces are a pleasing reddish-brown with a hint of original red at the top of the reverse.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# K5X3, PCGS# 11659, GSID# 12183)
