1854 Cent in Copper
Judd-160, MS66 Brown
Reduced Diameter Coronet Cent

1854 P1C One Cent, Judd-160, Pollock-187, R.4, MS66 Brown NGC. The obverse is similar to that used on regular issue 1854 cents, except there are no stars. The denomination is centered on the reverse within a laurel wreath, and the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is around the periphery. The diameter is 25 mm, smaller than the issued 27.5 mm 1854 large cent but larger than the 19 mm Flying Eagle cent. Struck in copper or bronze with a plain edge. The surfaces are smooth and glossy and appear to be completely free from carbon spotting. An outstanding example of this popular cent pattern.

Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 11659, Greysheet# 12183)
