Description
PR65 Brown Partial Collar Judd-160 1854 Cent
1854 P1C One Cent, Judd-160, Pollock-187, R.4--Partial Collar--PR65 Brown NGC. Something of a missing link between the large and small cent, this pattern has an intermediate diameter. No stars are present, and the wreath is reduced in scale, but the motifs resemble the contemporary large cent. Struck in bronze with a plain edge. The collar die was only partially present during the strike, an edge feature obscured by the holder. Precisely struck with glassy fields. The deep brown surfaces display lime and golden-brown undertones.Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 11659, Greysheet# 12183)
