    Popular Copper 1854 Cent Pattern, Judd-160
    PR65 Brown

    1854 P1C One Cent, Judd-160, Pollock-187, R.4, PR65 Brown NGC. The obverse shows Liberty with a braided hair design and the date below, all in a plain field. The reverse has a small laurel wreath around the denomination ONE CENT with the exterior legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Struck in copper with a plain edge. The head of Liberty is set off in medal-like fashion on the obverse. The fields are deeply mirrored and flash forcefully through the brown patina that covers each side.
