    Description

1854 P1C One Cent, Judd-160, Pollock-187, R.4, PR65 Brown PCGS. The obverse is similar to that used on regular issue 1854 cents, except that there are no stars. The denomination is centered on the reverse within a laurel wreath, and the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is around the periphery. Struck in copper or bronze with a plain edge. The surfaces are a pleasing reddish-brown with strong lilac-red toning over the obverse portrait, and glimmering deep-purple toning near the reverse center.
