    Attractive Pattern 1854 Large Cent, Judd-161, PR63 Brown

    1854 P1C One Cent, Judd-161 Original, Pollock-187, R.4, PR63 Brown NGC. The design is similar to that on production large cents except that there are no stars on the obverse, and the diameter is smaller. Struck in copper or bronze with a plain edge. The otherwise glossy-brown surfaces reveal a number of horizontal streaks of darker color resembling a woodgrain finish. One mark is seen in the field above and beside the N of ONE on the reverse.(#11663)
