Description
Select Proof Judd-161 1854 Cent
1854 P1C One Cent, Judd-161 Original, Pollock-187, R.4, PR63 Brown PCGS. Similar to the contemporary Mature Head large cent, but there are no stars, the reverse wreath is smaller, and the diameter is a few millimeters smaller. Struck in bronze with a plain edge. A precisely struck and nearly unabraded example toned in dusky olive and mauve shades. The obverse dentils are doubled between 6 and 9 o'clock, suggesting the collar die slipped slightly between strikes.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29A6, PCGS# 11663, GSID# 12188)
