Not Sold Description
1854 Small Cent with Large Cent Designs, Judd-161
1854 P1C One Cent, Judd-161, Pollock-187, R.4, PR63 Brown ANACS. Reduced size Large cent with the obverse showing the head of Liberty wearing a diadem inscribed LIBERTY, while the reverse depicts ONE CENT in a small laurel wreath. Struck in bronze with plain edge. The dies are boldly clashed; what appears at first glance to be a large center dot on the reverse is actually a clashmark from Liberty's inner ear. A sharply struck example with deep golden-brown color. A couple of faint abrasions on the back of Liberty's cheek prevent a higher grade. (#11663)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29A6, PCGS# 11663, GSID# 12188)
