    1855 Pattern Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-167 Original

    1855 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-167 Original, Pollock-193, R.4, PR63 Brown PCGS. A Flying Eagle Cent pattern in a large format, featuring a hooked-neck eagle, slanting 5s on the obverse, and ONE CENT in the center of the reverse surrounded by a thick laurel wreath similar to that of a Large Cent. Struck in copper with a plain edge. Streaks of medium brown toning overlay the otherwise orange-brown features. Free of bothersome contact marks, yet possessed of a mentionable obverse spot under the eagle's thigh. Population: 3 in 63, 5 finer (1/05).(#11709) (NGC ID# 29AE, PCGS# 11709)
