    1855 Judd-167 Flying Eagle Large Cent
    PR62 Brown

    1855 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-167 Original, Pollock-193, R.5, PR62 Brown PCGS. A large cent pattern featuring a hooked-neck eagle and slanting 5s on the obverse. The reverse resembles the issued large cent reverse but the wreath and denomination are smaller, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is widely spaced. Struck in bronze with a plain edge. A sharply struck sea-green, powder-blue, rose-red, and lavender specimen. The surfaces are glossy aside from granularity near the RI in AMERICA. Struck from prominently clashed dies.
