Judd-168 1855 Flying Eagle Cent Pattern

1855 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-168 Original, Pollock-193, R.4, PR63 Red and Brown PCGS. The design shows a large eagle surrounded by 13 stars on the obverse, while on the reverse ONE CENT is surrounded by a thick laurel wreath which is, in turn, surrounded by UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Struck in copper or bronze with a plain edge. Very scarce with any of the original red color remaining, this piece shows a significant amount around the outer margins with emerald-green surfaces otherwise and nice reflectivity in the fields. Identifiable by a large planchet flaw in the field above the N in ONE.(#11721) (NGC ID# 29AG, PCGS# 11721)
