1855 Hook-Neck Eagle Cent, Judd-168
1855 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-168 Original, Pollock-193, R.4, PR62 Brown NGC. The obverse shows a hook-neck eagle surrounded by thirteen stars with the date below. The reverse is similar in design to the Large Cent, but the wreath is smaller. Struck in bronze alloy with a plain edge. Mottled chestnut-brown and violet surfaces display considerable glossiness on the obverse and just a few scattered carbon flecks.(#11720)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29AG, PCGS# 11720, GSID# 12227)
