Description
1855 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-168 Original, Pollock-193, R.4, MS61 Brown ANACS. A flying Eagle cent pattern in a large format, featuring a hooked-neck eagle, slanting 5s on the obverse, and ONE CENT in the center of the reverse surrounded by a thick laurel wreath similar to a Large Cent. Struck in copper with a plain edge. Sharply struck and deeply toned, with pronounced reflectivity in the fields, pronounced die clashing is seen on each side. An interesting, very scarce pattern issue.From the Keith McIntosh Collection.
