1855 Flying Eagle Cent, PR63 Brown
    Judd-168 Original

1855 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-168 Original, Pollock-193, R.4, PR63 Brown NGC. A Flying Eagle cent pattern featuring a hooked-neck eagle and slanting 5s on the obverse. The diameter is that of a large cent, and the reverse is similar to the issued 1855 cent. It shows ONE CENT at the center surrounded by a circular wreath bound by a ribbon. Struck in copper with a plain edge. Free from clash marks, unlike many examples of Judd-168. Deep walnut-brown overall with glimpses of lighter tan toning. A lens and a strong light reveal unobtrusive obverse field marks.
