    Popular 1855 Flying Eagle Pattern, Judd-168 Original

    1855 Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-168 Original, Pollock-193, R.4, PR 63 Brown PCGS. The first of two examples of this popular, fairly obtainable Large cent pattern that features a large eagle in flight on the obverse, and a reverse that is similar to the adopted Braided Hair cent reverse. Struck in copper or bronze with a plain edge. The glossy brown surfaces are well detailed in all areas and have steel-blue undertones at the margins.
