Chocolate-Brown 1855 Flying Eagle Pattern Cent, Judd-168
1855 Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-168 Original, Pollock-193, R.4, PR 64 Brown PCGS. This coin previously occupied lot 6816 in our June 1999 Long Beach Sale, where it was cataloged as follows: "The obverse shows a hook-neck eagle surrounded by thirteen stars with the date below. The reverse is similar in design to the large cent but the wreath is smaller. Struck in copper or bronze with a plain edge. Deep brown patina covers each side of this fully struck near-gem."Ex: Long Beach Sale (HNAI, 6/99), lot 6816.
