    Desirable 1855 Pattern Flying Eagle Cent, Rare Judd-173 Variety

    1855 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-173, Pollock-198, R.7, PR62 Red and Brown PCGS. Flying Eagle cent pattern in large format, featuring a hooked neck eagle on the obverse and ONE CENT in the center of the reverse surrounded by a laurel wreath. Struck in copper with a plain edge. A perennially popular pattern design, both sides are toned in streaky glossy-brown and blue-gray shades with considerable orange-red luster remaining. The surfaces are remarkably blemish-free for the grade.
