    1858 Hooked-Neck Flying Eagle Cent
    Struck in Copper-Nickel, Judd-204, PR64 Cameo

1858 1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-204, Pollock-248, R.5, PR64 Cameo PCGS. CAC. Flying Eagle cent pattern with a hooked-necked eagle in flight on the obverse. The reverse has an oak wreath with a broad, ornamented shield at the top. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Examples are also known in copper. The fields are deeply mirrored and the coin overall displays bright, light -- almost white -- color that one associates with copper-nickel strikes. The devices are nicely frosted and present contrast against the depth of reflectivity in the fields.
