Copper-Nickel 1858 Flying Eagle Cent Pattern
    Judd-192, PR65

1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-192, Pollock-235, R.5, PR65 PCGS. A Flying Eagle pattern with the adopted design on the obverse. The reverse exhibits an oak wreath enclosing the denomination ONE CENT. An olive sprig and a group of three arrows are bound at the base of the wreath. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. From the appearance of this piece it is obvious that it is a copper-nickel alloy because of the light gray-tan surfaces. A slight overlay of red is apparent on each side also. The mirrors are bright on each side, and the only flaws we see are a couple of planchet streaks below the eagle. (NGC ID# 29BC, PCGS# 11842)
