1858 Pattern Flying Eagle Cent, PR66
Judd-192, Snow PT-13
1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-192, Pollock-235, Snow-PT13,
R.5, PR66 NGC. The obverse is the familiar Small Letters 1858
cent. The pattern reverse generally resembles the 1860 regular
issue reverse, but there is no shield at the top and the wreath is
closed. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. This sharply
detailed example has lovely golden-tan surfaces with mirrored
fields exhibiting light field-to-device contrasts. Census: 2 in 66,
